Poor Kailee. She just cried alligator tears for Madelynn's bottle. I don't know how in the world I'm going to get her to stop drinking it. She's addicted. At night, I try to tell her she drank it all but she starts pulling my cover off of me and telling me to go get her some more. I tried not to give her Madelynn's bottle but she looked so pitiful, I caved. (like you've never caved before.) It was juice by the way - not formula. Haha.

7 folks had something to say.:
You already know how I feel about this...What is it hurting??? Especially if you keep her teeth cleaned really well every day...Let her have that comfort, it's not going to hurt as long as you just keep a check on her teeth...She will give it up eventually I promise...I don't know any grown up children who have bottle issues...Who cares what anyone else thinks...I sure don't....Tell them to MTOB! If there are women who feel comfortable breast feeding their children at night till they start school, what is the difference in the bottle...There will be plenty of issues ahead that will require NO, no matter what...This isn't one of them...
I agree with Vic. It's not the end of the world. Chandler sucked his two middle fingers until kindergaten. It wasn't a big deal until someone made it a big deal. It didn't bother me at all. He's 15 now....he's not doing it anymore...duh!!! so I wouldn't stress at all. Trust me, there will be other issues that need attention.
love ya!
Sara really liked those Nuby sippy cups. I think it feels like a bottle in their mouth but it looks like a big girl cup. It's an idea if you'd really like to get her off the bottle.
I agree with Momma... although if you do want to break her... Rachel is right. Those are Nuby's are awesome. They are like bottles. She can even lay down with it. But it is a sippy cup. :)
You also have to remember when a child is really sick early on their development is slower in some areas...Kailee is exceptionally smart, but maybe she isn't ready to not be a baby...Also she has acid reflux and liquids wash all that acid down...Maybe she can sleep better if she has something to drink in the night...Foo foos, nuby's, thumbs, whatever, let her enjoy this precious time of innocence, it will be gone way tooo soon...
I have to say I agree with your Mom and Wendy. I went through this with Amber!! I let her do it, my thing was as long as her teeth were clean and wasn't rotting, it will be ok! Amber sucked her bottle at night till she was 3 1/2. She gave it up on her own! Remember the fabric softener commercial(i think it was a fabric softener commercial) about the kid and his blanket and the mom says i'm ok with it as long as he gets rid of it before prom! I say that all the time! My kids are 10 and 7 and they still have to have their blankies to go to sleep! (like the commercial said) I'm ok with that as long as they get rid of them before prom..lol
Jacob was off of his bottle before he was 2.He is now almost 5 and still has to have a sippy cup to go to bed with and still wakes up through the night yelling for his cup.I give it to him without worry cause he will grow out of that stage. I wouldnt worry about it and let her have it,she will give it up before to long.
Before when I had Seth, everyone was telling me he had to be off the bottle at 1 year.It was more like almost 2,but he had the fooler longer than that, then he was ready to give it up a little after that.No biggie,Dont worry about that.
