Whoa, slow down!

I think Madelynn skipped some steps.

She still hasn't figured out how to sit up without falling over.
She sits longer than she used to but she still isn't steady yet.

I call her my little paraplegic because she uses her arms to drag herself through the house. She doesn't actually crawl.

Every morning, I hear her wake up. She will move around, coo, suck on her pacifier (that she put back in her mouth herself) and clang the handles to my dresser up against the wood (because her playpen is pushed up against the dresser).
Well, this morning I heard grunting. I thought she might be pooping. I looked over at the playpen and there she was, her head high above the edge of the playpen. SHE HAD PULLED UP! If she had leaned forward, she would've fallen out. GOOD GRIEF.

Good thing that playpen has another level in it! To the bottom she goes!

4 folks had something to say.:

WOW! I can't believe she pulled up on her own! Doesn't she know she's supposed to crawl and sit up and all that stuff FIRST?

We cracked up when Sara first started putting her passy in her mouth on her own.

Lance and I were at a restaurant sitting next to a little boy who had to be like 2. He got upset about something and started crying. He immediately picked up his pacifier and stuck it in his mouth. It was hilarious.

Sara does that too! It's like she annoys herself and knows she needs to hush her trap. In fact we call the passy a trap husher (or T.H.) from time to time. :-)
