This morning I got up and decided to go out and do some yard-selling. No luck. There were only a few and it was all junk. The weather was perfect for it but I guess everyone opted out and decided to go to The Cherry Blossom Festival instead.
We went to the CBF around 11am. Ya know how I said it was FREEZING last year. Well, this year was totally opposite. Everyone was sweating! Blah. We were there about 3 hours. Kailee had fun so that's all that matters. I could've done without the crowd and the ridiculously expensive food and ride tickets though.
I had an eye appointment today for contacts. I'm tired of my glasses. They're a hassle. Kailee broke one pair. I've forgotten to even wear them several times - which makes me feel woozy and gives me a headache. And then there's the sweating part. Blah. I hate sweating with my glasses on. Sooooooo, I finally broke down, put aside my fear of a contact rolling in behind my eye and floating off into my brain and went and got some contacts. I had no problems with putting them in and taking them out. I'm still trying to adjust to them though. They were itchy and scratchy feeling at first and I've had a few episodes of watery, blurry eyes - but I'm doing okay. I go back on the 7th to make sure I'm adjusting to them okay. The best part, I can wear sunglasses again. There was NO WAY I was going to put them tinted things they sale over my frames so I've just gone without them. The older I get, the more the sun bothers me when I'm driving. Especially during traveling. So when I head to TN Wednesday, I'll be sporting some shades. WOOT!
Tonight, we grilled steak for dinner and attempted to watch The Kite Runner but Kailee was just too wild for us to follow it so we ended up watching Strawberry Shortcake. HAHAHA!
Welp, off to bed I go.
Nite!

5 folks had something to say.:
Eww,I know all about the contacts and scared of them rolling to the back of your eye.I went and got me some last year and I could not for the life of me get used to them.I wore them and the blury and the watery eyes drove me crazy.I have never put them in again.I guess I will have to wear glasses until I get up the patients to try them again.
I hope they work out for you though,Good Luck!
I have been wearing soft contacts since 1978 and I love them!!!!
Some people do good with contacts, others have troubles.Look at it this way,if Gina's paranoid butt can wear them, then you would think anybody could..lol
I'm sure Strawberry Shortcake was a better movie..lol..the things you do when you have kids! I've done that so many times! NOT anymore though, i put TV's in both my kids rooms, so they can watch what they wanna watch! Sometimes they try to turn the living room TV on Hannah Montana or something like that and i have to remind them they have a TV in their room..lol
What are you coming to TN for? I didn't know you was coming here!! Do you think you could swing by the dump and get my a chocolate fried pie and bring it to me? Orlinda is only about 45 minutes from the dump..lol
Yo Chunky Butt, we live 2 blocks away from the dump and we have lived in our house since June and have only been there once and even then I didnt get a fried pie *sigh*
